19 hours after Ryka's disappearance

Ryka awoke to find her self hugging a bunch of pillows. She picked them up and placed them behind her head, before dropping her head down on them. She looked up at the ceiling and began thinking. Even though she felt at home with all this freewill, she just couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right. Here, in this room, people cared for her as she is, not like some sort of dumb animal. Yet, it was nothing like what she had before. That sort of love and compassion couldn't be replicated here. She sighed; she knew that for this to be perfect she needed Raiken back. It seemed that only he would be able to make her feel better.

She rolled over and stared out across the room, everyone else was sleeping soundly. Had all these people given up hope of going back to their old lives? Ryka pondered for a moment, perhaps she should do that. Just accept that nothing was going to change, and submit herself to being a pet. Of course this thought would require more time, before she fully accepted it. In the meantime her train of thought was interrupted by a disturbance in the peace of the room. Daytra had woken up and was in the process of getting ready to go somewhere. After a few minutes she was fully clothed and was slipping a piece of paper into a nearby satchel. Daytra then took the satchel and headed to the door.

Ryka was curious as to what she was up to, so she cautiously got out of bed. She stood still, waiting for Daytra to open the door. However Daytra was busy fiddling with something in the satchel, giving Ryka a chance to sneak closer. Unfortunately she moved a little too quickly and as a result her claws hit the floor, making a quiet 'dink' rung through the air. Daytra looked up, and Ryka froze on the spot. She was going to get caught, she contemplated running back to her bed, but she knew that would definitely get her caught. Daytra would've turned around and caught her if, the door key hadn't slipped from her grasp, and landed on her paw. She hopped on one paw, trying her absolute best not to scream. Ryka felt relieved that she hadn't been seen, for now at least.

Daytra stopped hopping about and picked up the key, unlocking the door and slipping it back into her satchel. She then opened the door, making sure to avoid the hinges squeaking. She then slipped through the frame, and shutting the door as she had opened it. Ryka hurried over to the door and was about to open it, when she thought she'd check to see if Daytra had actually left. She lowered herself to the keyhole, expecting to be able to see nothing but locking mechanisms. She pleased to find that the keyhole allowed her to see right through to the other side. What was disappointing was that it seemed to dark to make anything out. Ryka would've opened the door there and then if it hadn't been for Daytra speaking.
"Guess it was just be acting paranoid again"
Ryka heard her chuckle, and then she looked back through the keyhole to see her walk off.

Ryka breathed a sigh of relief; it was good that she decided to check instead of charging ahead. Nervously, she placed a paw on the handle and twisted it. The locks clicked and clunked before the door opened a little. Ryka eased the door open, just enough for her to get through. Opening it without making a sound was definitely easier than she expected. The same went for closing it again. She looked down the corridor, and saw Daytra right at the bottom turning left. Ryka did a quick check of the environment and noted the four side corridors. Carefully she checked down each of them, making sure the coast was clear before proceeding. Thankfully, no-one was patrolling these corridors, making it easier to catch up to Daytra. Soon enough she reached the end, and checked left for a sign of Daytra.

She just managed to catch a glimpse of her tail, heading down the third side corridor on the right hand side. Only problem this time was that there was a pair of guards patrolling the side corridors. They had just walked out of the corridor Daytra had disappeared down, and they were headed away from Ryka. She guessed that she was going to have to move as fast and as sneaky as possible. She waited for the guards to get half way between the third corridor and the fourth, before she made a break for it. She ran down the corridor, sticking to the right hand side, and slipping into the third corridor when she got the chance. She listened out for any sign that guards had heard her, she didn't receive any. She felt a little smug; she was getting really good at this sneaking business.

She turned to look down this new corridor and was presented with an even worse problem. There were guards everywhere, on every corner, guarding every corridor. She scanned the corridor for Daytra, but she was unable to locate her. She was going to have to go back to her room, as she was unlikely to find Daytra now. She checked around the corner to find that the previous guards were nowhere to be found. She was about to step into the aforementioned corridor, when she heard a familiar voice from behind.
"Move out the way please, we have an important slave here!"
She turned around to find L along with a sinister looking dragon, carrying someone. Ryka tried to get a better look at who they were carrying, trying to get a better idea of why they were special. Unfortunately all she managed to make out was that they were wearing charred clothing and had a few yellow markings on their body. That didn't really help; bring her closer to finding out why they were so special. She watched as the guards parted to allow them to pass through.

As they disappeared behind a steel bolted door, she watched Daytra follow them to the exact same place. Ryka's determination was now refuelled and she was ready to try anything to get in there. Looking back out into previous corridor she noticed one of the guards examining a robe hung on the wall. Ryka started to formulate a plan; this robe was going to help her gain access to that room. She waited for the guard to leave it alone before she went and took it. She made sure her whole body was covered, and put the hood over her face, casting a shadow over her features. With her heart in her mouth she headed down towards the room. She was insane to even attempt to try and impersonate Tamara. She was sure everyone was looking at her awkwardly, but she wasn't entirely sure.

Soon enough she had reached the door, she tried to put on her deepest voice, but still tried to keep that sly, seductive tone that Tamara had.
"Let me in."
The guard seemed impressed, but he wasn't about to let her in just yet.
"Well, miss, the lads and I were wondering if we could get the day off. Can we?"
Ryka pretended to be thinking long and hard about it.
"Hmm, have you been working hard today?"
"Yes ma'am, we haven't taken a break at all!"
"Then you get the day off; now get out of my sight"
The guards in that entire sector cleared out as soon as she spoke.

She looked around; she was now free to enter at her own will. She took the moment too contain herself. She reached out her hand to the handle. She was finally going to get inside; she couldn't believe she had fooled them. She heard a voice from over her shoulder.
"It's not right to steal other people's stuff you know"
Ryka knew who that was, and she knew what came next wasn't good.
"Sorry, please don't hurt me"
The figure pulled her hood down.
"Somehow, I knew it would be you, you seem to have a habit for sneaking about. Come on, your back in my 'care' now."
"Yes mistress"
Tamara began to drag her back to her chambers. Just before Ryka rounded a corner, she saw L and the sinister dragon leave the room, yet Daytra didn't follow. Or at least she never saw her leave, because she'd disappeared round the corner.
